Why should I pay for MP3’s when I can get them for free on other sites?
The companies that record speakers at conferences are run by people who are also in recovery like you. They are not paid to record recovery events. These “tapers” hope to be self supporting through the sale of the recordings. In the majority of cases, the free sites don’t have permission from the recording companies to share the recordings. As a result, there are a lot of areas around the country that no longer have “tapers” available to record their conferences, because unfortunately these free sites have pushed them out of business. With the lessening availability of these “tapers” there are many speakers with amazing messages of hope and stories of recovery that will go unheard.
